Good morning today is Tuesday February 26, 2019. My name is Edgar Vicente and these are

Puerto Rico's top news for the day. We start off with some pretty good news for a change

and this is that yesterday night the Puerto Rico basketball team be Uruguay to qualify for

the basketball world cup. These games will be played in China from August 31st to September 15th.

If you know anything about Puerto Rico, we love our basketball just like we like our baseball

and this is some pretty big news and we hope that the Puerto Rican team can make a good run

in the tournament and maybe even win who knows.

But at least we're really happy that they actually qualified.

Some people were, all the fans had a lot of doubt

about whether this team could pull it off.

And if the Puerto Rican basketball era

of the 2000s could ever be replicated,

and we could start winning tournaments again,

and qualify for these bigger tournaments.

So there's some really good news,

and we're really happy for the guys.

On the next news, it's official.

Ricardo Rosario was not able to secure a meeting with Trump

during the governor's event that was held in the White House.

So, Ricardo Rosario was trying to meet with Trump

to talk about Maria recovery funds and their lack of speed.

He was not able to meet with the president
