If you have an eye for something, you're very good at noticing something specific. It's often

used to talk about detail and fashion. Nikki is such a good interior designer. She really has an eye

for colour. If you keep an eye on something, you look after or watch something or someone carefully. I'm keeping an

eye on my niece while my sister is at the hairdresser. If you turn a blind eye, you ignore something

happening that you know is wrong. I'm turning a blind eye to the number of sweets he's eating. It is his birthday.
