To be at your wits end means you've tried really hard to fix a problem, but you can't,

and now you feel frustrated or worried. Will you help me fix my computer? I've tried everything,

and now I'm at my wits end. A means to an end is something you have to do to achieve something else. I don't really like my job, but it means I can save up for my travels, so it's just a means to an end, really. Say end of

story when you think there is nothing else to be said about something. Right, kids, it's very

late and it's time for bed. End of story.

And lastly, say at the end of the day when all things have been considered and you want to say the main point.

I always listen to my parents' advice, but at the end of the day, it's still my decision.
