Alfie Reynolds, Elgan Alderman and Charlie Morgan look back on the Champions Cup quarter-finals.
They ask which was better...Bath and Northampton's epic high-scoring tussle at The Rec? Or the heavyweight clash between Bordeaux and Toulouse?
Was Henry Pollock unlucky to be shown a yellow card so late in the contest? And, despite defeat, will Northampton be confident of getting revenge in the Prem final?
Are Leinster going under the radar and could they actually win the Champions Cup this season?
And, the boys look back on the opening round of the Women's 6 Nations as the Red Roses made it 34 wins in a row!

| 0:00.0 | Hello, this is the Ruck, the journalist's rugby podcast from The Times and the Sunday Times. |
| 0:20.2 | Welcome along. I'm Alfie Reynolds and in studio with me this week. I've got Elgin Alderman. Good morning, Elgin. Good morning, Althe. How are you? I'm very well, thank you. How are you? How was your weekend? Busy weekend? Busy weekend, yes. Friday night celebrating the Great Britain Women's Rugby Pioneers, 40 years from their first ever test down at Richmond. That was a fun evening. And then twickenham aliance stadium for the opening game of the women's six nations you know we'll talk |
| 0:42.0 | about the difference between that as an occasion and as a high performance sporting uh performance |
| 0:46.8 | later on and then straight after that down to ryegate to compare a choir concert so it was a full-on |
| 0:52.3 | saturday for me i always enjoy asking you what you got up to over the weekend |
| 0:55.8 | because it's always quite an eclectic mix of things, isn't it? |
| 0:58.5 | As you say, we will get on to the women six nations. |
| 1:00.6 | That's coming up. |
| 1:01.2 | Wins for England, for Scotland and for France. |
| 1:05.2 | But we're going to focus our attention on the Champions Cup |
| 1:08.0 | and the quarterfinals to start with and also alongside us. |
| 1:10.7 | It's Charlie Morgan, all right, Charlie? |
| 1:11.7 | Hello, pal. You had the delight, I would imagine it was, of the wreck Friday night. And I think it was an instant Champions Cup classic. Oh, I loved it. Yeah, it was a game to really get lost in a game that had a lot of hype surrounding it and absolutely delivered on all of that a bit stressful to |
| 1:27.9 | write an on the whistle report for but yeah just extremely enjoyable for loads of different facets |
| 1:33.2 | it two different sides with kind of different personas I would say they're both quite rounded |
| 1:38.0 | and can play in different ways but just brilliant brilliant game best game of the weekend for both |
| 1:43.6 | of you in the Champions Cup. |
| 1:45.2 | Obviously, the Bath, Northampton was amazing high-scoring affair on Friday. |
| 1:49.0 | Glasgow, Toulon, very tight and an unexpected. |
| 1:52.6 | Away win, Lensa Sale, as we expected, was pretty one-sided. |
| 1:55.4 | And then Bordeaux to lose, just quality, the atmosphere looked incredible, so much of what we would have expected from that fixture. So best game of the weekend for each of you. I think it's a case for either the All-French or the All-England 1V-2 game, but I think any game that has both teams scoring more than 40 points got to come back victory on a Friday night, so I think it's got to be Bath, Northampton. Yeah, I'll go that I'll buy us for being there um there was so much quality though obviously and as we'd expect |
| 2:22.4 | in Bordeaux to lose too and that felt more test matchy I would say um maybe maybe hinging a little bit |
