Summary

It's time to say goodbye to the ‘summer of soccer’ because what’s that on the horizon? Yes, the return of the NWSL.

On this week's Full Time, Tamerra Griffin and Meg Linehan have their feelings heard on the finals of Women's Euro 2025 and Women's Africa Cup of Nations, as well as hear from Charlotte Harpur who was amongst all the fun outside Buckingham Palace on Tuesday when England paraded its Euros trophy in front of 65,000 people. From Burna Boy and Sarina Wiegman, to what the legacy of the Lionesses's back-to-back trophies will be? It's the ultimate final chapter to a historic summer.

Then, it's time to turn the focus to the NWSL. As the league's summer break concludes, Tamerra and Meg answer all the biggest questions and discuss the major talking points ahead of the first weekend of games. Can anyone catch the Kansas City Current? Will Mia Fishel or Sveindis Jónsdóttir have the bigger impact? How will Racing Louisville build on a strong first half to make the playoffs for the first time?

It's so interesting to me, I'm looking at the table now. Racing and Gotham... Because Gotham right now is an... Yes. I was just about to say that. I am not even used to having language to speak to racing and Gotham being not only so close on points, but not in the order that history would lead us to expect. I mean, the pack in that

middle chunk is really not that far off of each other. So like, yes, we're saying Gotham's

Hello, and welcome back to full timetime. I am Tamara Griffin and I don't know about you, but after this summer of soccer with respect, of course, to Ecuador, Copa America, technically it's not summer

through this episode, but we're going to bring some back-to-school energy. I don't know. Summer is not quite over yet, but, you know, typically during this time of the year, it's time to start dusting off the textbooks, re-sharpening the pencils, reviewing the notes to get ready for the second half of the year. And by year, I mean NWSL season. That's what

this episode is going to be about now that Euros are over, now that Wafcon is over, now that

Copa is almost over. We got some league stuff to continue. So we're going to be picking up where

we left off. If you haven't done the summer reading, don't worry, we got you. We're going to be reviewing some of the big summer signings and what that might mean for the teams that they are now probably practicing with, getting ready to start the second half of this season, reviewing who's at the top of the table and might stay there, middle of the table, who might be making some moves in either direction, and who might be breaking their way into the
