And this is the H&J Daily with the best bits of this afternoon show. Well, understandably, much like your good selves, if you stayed up for the match, we were a bit knackard, but we were buoyant. We were upbeat. Boyant. Because, well, because England are through. Oh, absolutely. I mean, we got through on the adrenaline and a few cups of coffee. But, yeah, it was fun.

It was fun to talk to the talk sport listeners, hear from them to see how they enjoyed the game

or how they got it wrong or how they had to do it from work or even from Mexico in the

fan zone, as you will discover.

Alan Pardieu joined us for a considered take on what we witnessed in that game in the Azteca.

Graham Scott, the former Premier League referee, joined us as well to look at some of the big calls,

not just in the game last night, but over the weekend, especially Paraguay.

Also touching on Paraguay was South American correspondent Tim Vickery,

but his main purpose was to tell us what the mood was

the morning after the night before in Rio,

and he did just that.

We had a bit of a chat, we messed about a bit,

and he had some Darth letters from the papers,

and we had more than one creature of the night,

as you will discover.
