At just 28, she is one of the most powerful figures in English rugby,

captain of the Red Rose's World Cup winner and 2021 World Rugby Player of the Year. Born and

raised in Scarborough, she grew up splitting her time between dance rehearsals and muddy rugby

training sessions, inspired by her older brother and determined to hold her own amongst the boys,

but from a very early age. Usually the only girl on the pitch, but always one of the toughest.

She eventually hung up her dancing shoes to pursue rugby with a determination that took her

from her hometown club to Harbury College at just 16 years of age, ready to turn her love

And I think it's fair to say that that decision has more than paid off.

Since making her grand international debut for England in 2016, she's climbed from Rising Star to Captain.

And this year, she led the Red Roses to the Ultimate Victory, lifting the World Cup at Twickenham in front of 82,000 roaring fans, marking England's first World Cup win in more than 10 years.
