0:13.0	It is vital that God's people recognize their place in this conflict
0:18.0	and are equipped for spiritual warfare in our day. Let's join Scott Pauli
0:22.8	now as we open God's Word and prepare for the front lines. Some people love a good fight. Others
0:37.1	shrink from it.
0:38.2	But may I say to you, when it comes to the spiritual conflict that is being waged in our world at this moment,
0:44.3	this is not a fight you can run from.
0:46.2	This is not a fight you can shrink back and say, well, I'm really not a fighter.
0:51.3	No, there must be in all of us this desire to be a good soldier of Jesus
0:57.1	Christ. That's our verse. 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse number 3. Thou therefore endure hardness as a good
1:04.0	soldier of Jesus Christ. And do you hear the personal word there, thou? Thou. He said it in verse 1. Thou my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
1:14.2	Then thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. You are the Lord's son and you are
1:20.5	the Lord's soldier. And if you enjoy being a child of God, then you are also a soldier in his army.
1:28.7	And I want to submit to you today, it is time for God's children to get to the front of God than you are also a soldier in his army and I want to submit to you today it is time for God's children to get to the front lines to literally walk
1:34.6	toward the battle and say by the grace of Almighty God we're going to engage in this
1:40.3	fight now interestingly enough in 2 Timothy chapter number two, there is really no
1:46.2	reference to the devil. Isn't that interesting? That in this passage where Paul writes to Timothy
1:52.3	about the spiritual warfare and the fight and being a good soldier of Jesus Christ, there's not a word
1:57.2	about the devil. Rather, he's challenging Timothy to engage in the fight in his own life,
2:03.5	to deal with his own flesh, to do battle against the sin nature in him, and the world around him.
