We're losing our descriptive language because we don't have to, we don't have to retell

stories.

We can just show the video.

We don't have to explain where we were in a specific moment in time.

We can show the picture.

And you see this, you know, with a grand, a grandmother interacting with a grand child,

you know, like, I want to show you these ducks that crossed the road.

And you just show the, the photo instead of explaining what did they look like?

What was their texture?

What, what, you know, were they big, were they small?

All of these sort of descriptive, relational, rich, textual language is absolutely missing

from so many kids vocabulary.
