Summary

It’s been a wild couple weeks for Fiat Chrysler and Renault. After Fiat made a merger offer in late May, Renault shareholders Nissan and the French government balked at the deal, leading Fiat to withdraw its offer. Motley Fool Senior Auto Analyst John Rosevear joins the podcast to break down the political issues that have sidetracked the merger and discuss why we’ve been seeing so many major automotive partnerships recently, both between OEMs and autonomy startups.

Stocks Mentioned: FCAU, RNLSY, NSANY, GM, F, VWAGY, RACE, TSLA, HMC, TM
