Good morning and welcome to our second service.

On Sunday mornings, we're going through the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter and

verse by verse. And we're currently in 1 Timothy. And our text today is going to be chapter

2 verses 1 through 4. I'll have you turn there at this time. If you haven't already, those

of you online can turn and follow along. Those of you here, if you're able, I'll ask you

to stand for the reading of God's word. If you're unable to stand, that's okay, if you're able, I'll ask you to stand for the reading of God's word. If you're

unable to stand, that's okay, where you're seated is fine. You can follow along as I read.

Just four verses today, beginning here in verse one of chapter two. The apostle Paul is writing to

Timothy, a young pastor, and says, I urge then, first of all,

that petitions, prayers, intercession, and Thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings, and all those in authority at the city

and county of Honolulu. Oh, it doesn't say that there. I'm sorry. That we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and

holiness. This is good. And pleases God, our Savior, who verse 4 wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Let's pray if you would join with me. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for your word and this portion that we have

before us today. Would you anoint the teaching of your word? Give me the words that you would

have me to speak, seasoned with with grace in truth, in love.

Lord, would you bless this to our understanding?

I pray, Lord, that all of us, myself included, would have ears to hear what the Spirit would say to us, your church, we ask in Jesus' name.
