Since time immemorial, stories have begun with the classic phrase, once upon a time.

Then, to the avid and eager listener would come a history of love, hate, adventure, mystery, horror, or whatever emotion the teller wanted to convey.

But history, like all words, is not necessarily what we think it means.

Its basic definition is a narrative of events connected with a real or imaginary object, person, or career.

Note that it does not confine it to the past.

So, here is a history of the future, the kind that begins, supposing if...
