Hello and welcome to welcome back to Trinidad to Care. If you're new here, my name's Ashley. I

0:06.8

upload every single Monday and we just chat for a little bit. I gave you some advice, I gave you

0:11.8

some recommendations, sometimes I'd just be yapping. But today I want to talk about this idea

0:19.7

of going from enemies to lovers, but with yourself. The idea

0:25.3

to do this episode came to me from a Pinterest meme actually, and the meme said, enemies to lovers,

0:31.0

but it's with myself. And I was like, hell yeah. Absolutely. Yes, I want to do an episode on that.

Enemies to lover stories usually start out with two people who absolutely despise each other.

0:44.7

0:57.5

deeply for that person, even if it's not in a loving way. You hate them with a burning

1:03.2

passion. But the thing about passion is, it can switch. You hate them, but you're constantly thinking about them. So what if somewhere

1:15.2

between you thinking about them, you start viewing them as who they are rather than who you

1:22.2

believe them to be. Instead of villainizing them, you start looking at them as a person with feelings

1:27.0

and you start to at least try to understand them and the things that they've gone through.

1:31.8

And you see them as more than just their mistakes or their imperfections.

1:37.7

Well, that's when the passion might just turn from hate into love.

1:42.3

Take Blair and Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl, for example. Spoiler, if you

1:46.4

haven't watched, but I mean, come on, it's been over 10 years. I just started watching. Well,

1:50.1

I just finished it. But like, it's been 10 years. If you were going to watch it, you probably

1:54.6

would have watched it by now. But they are the classic enemies to lover story. Blair couldn't

2:00.7

stand Chuck. They spent years going
