0:19.8	centuries. God helps those who help themselves. So trust God but put on your seat belt. Trust God
0:25.2	that strap on your life jacket. Trust God but wear your bicycle helmet. Trust God but lock up your
0:29.8	house at night. Trust God but don't eat crap all day. Trust God but don't lick the hospital room
0:34.6	floor. I'm pretty sure none of those phrases actually appear in the Bible but they're prudent
0:39.5	things nonetheless. They all relate to the idea that a trust in belief in a higher power and a
0:44.8	faith that there is a story written for your life must be yoked to actual conscious and responsible
0:50.1	action that you take based on your own free will and not couched in a case a rossera approach to
0:55.0	life in which you smoke weed and binge watch Netflix while waiting for God to magically deposit
0:59.8	money into your bank account. I've written elsewhere on trust particularly the fruits that can
1:04.9	pour forth into your relationships with others when you trust God that you'll have enough time
1:09.2	to create transformational relationships which is a concept I explore in chapter 4 of my book
1:15.0	Fit Soul. But in this chapter you're listening to right now I'd like to unpack the topic of trust
1:20.1	just a bit more particularly when it comes to marrying deep faith in God that you'll be protected
1:25.4	cared for and kept safe with actual action on your part to ensure you aren't the spiritual fool
1:31.3	who plays frogger every time you jaywalk across a busy road because well God's an ultimate control
1:37.0	and what will happen will happen no matter what you do differently because it's deterministically
1:41.2	destined to happen that way right centuries. What got me thinking about this whole topic was when
1:46.8	I was reading in the book of neomy in the bible and noticed that neomy prayed to God for protection
1:51.7	over the building project that he was working on but then simultaneously planted armed centuries
