Shannon, what led you to write a book about overcoming?

Well, goodness, you're such a prolific author, and you know when you're working on a book,

sometimes you have other ideas or other people that you want to include, and you can't get them all into the one book that you're working on a book, sometimes you have other ideas or other people

that you want to include and you can't get them all into the one book that you're working on.

And I've had this collection of these men through the Bible, these stories from the Old and New Testament,

that have this theme, this kind of common thread of overcoming. And it really sparks from the story of Gideon, who starts the book.

But there's so many stories in the Bible that, you know, we see men and women, in this case,

they're all men in this book, who are facing insurmountable odds, at least by human standards,

at least on paper.

And so I just find so much encouragement through each of these stories that, listen, their
