They invite us to adopt the simple intentional practice of taking time to look back on the year and taking note of events and themes.

This sets us up to live into what we are called to in the next season.

Well, as we come to an end of a year, my love, and what a joy to have you with me, Becky.

Oh, it's good to be back with you, honey. Well, do you remember where we were about this time last year?

Hardly.

Well, let me remind you.

We were on the third floor of Overlake Hospital and Bellevue, Washington.

Oh, yes.

As we were caring for our daughter who had a punctured lung and her family had gone on to Mexico.

And it was a mess.

We didn't know if we were going to be in the hospital,

if she was gonna move towards surgery.

So I think about where I did the end of the year podcast,

the fact that you and I just had conflict because you were

messing with cleaning my office up. It's a pretty small matter compared to where we were.

Absolutely. Absolutely. Well, where we're going is to really reflect on how to utilize your last year to, in many ways,

move to our next podcast, and that will be next year, how to actually anticipate a year ahead.
