wrap up, I thought it would be fun to provide updates

on what past guests have been up to since their appearance on the show. So I emailed them to

find out who had retired from service, started businesses, been selected for NASA's next astronaut

class, written books, whatever. Now, most responses, as you might imagine, were very pleasant

providing updates and

congratulating me on an amazing run on this show. One in particular said, you've had a remarkable

impact on people. Thank you for sharing your love of aviation and superb storytelling and

interviewing skills to the world. When this guest went on to mention his forthcoming book,

which, in his words, takes readers through his most impactful and hair-raising aviation,

combat, and life experiences, helping people unlock their full potential, I suggested, somewhat on

a whim, that to fully do so, perhaps he might consider keeping this show going more regularly.

He was intrigued, we talked, I shipped him some recording equipment. He lined up several

potential guests. And before you know it, we had a plan. So this episode is no longer
