Diplomacy between Iran and the U.S. continues to grind on behind the scenes.

But we're learning a little more about what the two sides are talking about.

A report on Iranian state TV today suggests a memorandum of understanding being negotiated

will call for the U.S. military

to withdraw from the region and lift the blockade of Iranian ports. In return, Iran would restore

pre-war shipping levels in the Strait of Hormuz within a month. The report added that the framework

of the deal is not yet finalized and no step will be taken by Tehran without quote,

tangible verification. Now the White House has pushed back hard on this report, their rapid response account on X posted, quote,

this report from Iranian controlled media is not true, and the MOU they released is a complete fabrication.

Nobody should believe what Iranian state media is putting out.

President Trump congratulated Ken Paxton on his win over longtime incumbent Senator John Cornyn

in the Texas GOP Senate primary runoff on true social this morning.

He added that, quote, John will remain my friend for a long time to come, as we both

watch Ken become a fantastic common sense senator, one who is respected by all.

Before his landslide defeat, Cornyn suggested he'll finish out his term as a team player

for the Republican Party.

It hasn't even been a full 24 hours since Paxton declared victory.

Already, both his campaign and the campaign for Democratic Challenger James Talleyco

are in full swing for the open Senate seat.
