Alhamdulillah, and Salat and Salamu Ala Rasulullah wa Alaa Ali, and al-Alihi wa Ashabi, Ya Jmai'in.

We praise Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, we thank him upon all conditions, we send blessings and salutations upon Muhammad, Salallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

His household, all his companions, we ask Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless them all and to bless every single one of us.

My mother's insistence, these are beautiful verses of Surah Tulu'a Piaha, the second half or the last portion of this beautiful Surah, where Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, asks many questions.

And these questions are in order to draw our attention to the gifts of Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, those that he has bestowed upon us and we take for granted.

Starting with the question Allah says, we have created you, so why do you not believe? We have created you, so why do you not believe?

Now if you take a look at Islamic monotheism, you would come to realize that Allah's test for us is that we worship Him alone and the most important word is alone.

Singularly, one, it is known as Tauhid, the oneness of Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, that's what Islam is based upon.

Which means it is wrong for us to worship anyone or anything besides He who made us.

So when you want to render an act of worship, two things need to happen.

One is you need to render it solely for whoever made you, whoever created you.

That's who you are rendering the act of worship for and that is Allah, meaning the worshiped one.

He is the one I worship. So whenever I say Allah is the greatest, what I am saying is He who made me is the greatest.

He who is in control of every aspect of my existence is the greatest He who I am going to return to when I die is the greatest.

That is called worshiping one. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

It doesn't mean there are many Allah's, it's just one Allah but we say worshiping He alone.

Now if you take a look at the term la ilaha illa Allah Muhammadu Rasulullah, there was a time when people translated it into the English language saying there is no God but Allah.

I'm sure you've heard that. There is no God but Allah and Muhammad may peace be upon him is his messenger.
