The number 578 of the Noble Quran.

My mother's and sisters, the verses that we've just read before you, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala explains so beautifully.

So beautifully as to the fact that he is in control and he sent messengers to us, to remind us,

and the way some of the people reacted to these messengers and what they said.

Before we go into this, let's learn something.

1:00.0

How do we look at the verses of the Quran?

1:04.0

We will read their meanings, we will try and understand them, and we will apply them as best as we can in our own situation.

1:12.0

That is the way that we are meant to be learning from this Quran, which is the word of Allah, which is valid right up to the end of time,

1:20.0

right up to Qiyama, its message is valid, and it is powerful, and it is something that we will always learn from.

1:28.0

So Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says, say, O Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam,

1:32.0

tell them, indeed my Lord extends provision for whom he wills of his servants, and he restricts it for him.

1:42.0

So, but whatever thing you spend in his cause, he will compensate it, and he is the best of providers.

1:50.0

Let's stop there for a moment.

1:52.0

This verse Allah is telling us that it is Allah who chooses to give more to some people and less to some people.

1:58.0

Whether you have more or less does not make you a better person, or a worse person.

2:04.0

But what makes you a better person is when you spend what you have in his cause for the sake of Allah,

2:11.0

to reach out to others, to assist the cause of the deen, to use that money in a way that it will be of benefit.

2:18.0

That is the winner. So, if a person has very little wealth, say for example, your bank balance is $1,000,

2:25.0

and you can spend out of that $100 for the cause of Allah, you have spent 10%.

2:31.0

That would perhaps be better than a person who might have spent $1,000 when their bank balance might have been $1,000,000.

2:40.0

So, we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to make us from those who realize and understand.
