The sermon text for today is Hebrew chapter 10 versus 19 through 25. Hebrews chapter 10 versus 19. 5. to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened

for us through the curtain, that is through his flesh.

And since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with the true heart in full assurance of faith.

With our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering for he who promised

is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some,

but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Father, it's a strange thing to be told that as the day, the day of judgment, the last day draws near, the need

will be meet, meet, together.

We're so individualistic in America. We think the fight at the end of the day will be you, me, and the devil and

the beast, and we'll win.

And it won't be like that.

I pray, oh God, that you would give us a seriousness about what this text says at Bethlehem.

We would live with a sense of urgency and we would forsake our self-reliances and our solitudes, our retreats into loneliness,

loneness. into loneliness and we would move toward others to bless them and be blessed by them.

Lord, there is so much to be had.

From you through each other, by virtue of their gifts we sell ourselves I fear sometimes suicidily short by not
