Now I'm going to lay a groundwork here, so bear with me for a few minutes.

We believe in foundations around here if we're going to talk about something.

So one of the important things that the Lord has shown me as I've walked with him all these years

is that we are dependent.

I am dependent on him for everything.

Everything that he's done, everything that he's doing.

The scripture says he's our fortress, he's our refuge in a time of distress.

Everything that we need comes from him.

He provided that through Jesus, the ultimate gift to us.

Our prosperity, our most importantly, salvation, our healing, all those things that we can receive

come from God. We're completely

and absolutely dependent on Him. And I could stand here and we could go around and take

a microphone and not get through the weekend talking about how good God has been to each and every

one of us. We could talk about the goodness of God until the end of time and still not cover

how good he is. Amen. But in faith circles,

I've seen sometimes we talk a lot about God as the only thing, or we come to believe, I should

say, that God is the only thing that we need in this natural life. Now, we're saved. We know what the

end is. We know what's happening. We know where we're going. But this life that we

have that's just a breath or a whisper, we're still here. We're in a natural body and a natural

world. And we are, of course, totally dependent on God as our source and totally dependent on him as

everything else. But there are some other things that we need. We really get hung up in our catchphrases
