Summary

Across countries and childhood bedrooms, a tall shadow in a top hat appears to watch, threaten, protect, or possibly feed. This is one of the most infamous figures in paranormal lore: the Hat Man. Throughout the listener encounters we share, patterns emerge. He thrives in sleep paralysis. He appears during trauma. He lingers near children…Sleep tight. Listener Stories Include: A listener in Brazil describes a pale man in a black suit and red tie who has appeared in her dreams since childhood, draining her energy and punishing her for speaking against him. A mother hides her young daughter under a blanket as a towering shadow in a top hat stands in the doorway insisting that any children he finds will be his. After ghostly handprints appear on a late night train ride, a top hatted shadow follows a family home, and eventually getting physical.  A new mom recounts postpartum sleep paralysis in which a tall figure lifts her newborn from the bassinet and vanishes while she is frozen in fear.
