| 1:17.5 | when suddenly a poem stopped me cold. |
| 1:22.8 | And I read this poem, and I mentioned this to him, and I immediately texted it, immediately |
| 1:32.0 | to half a dozen friends because it's so beautifully articulated what I wanted to say to them |
| 1:40.7 | about friendship, but didn't have this poet's gift. |
| 1:46.6 | That particular poem I have since ordered prints of. |
| 1:51.2 | All my friends have them framed in their homes, including mine. |
| 1:55.6 | His words have meant a lot to me. |
| 1:58.6 | David writes about care and tenderness and community and this, |
| 2:05.8 | frankly, courage that it takes to stay soft in a world that absolutely rewards the opposite. |
