The following episode is an on-core broadcast in honor of the 75th anniversary of the release

of the Wizard of Oz.

Let's call it premiere week, shall we, since at least four theaters in small towns across

America sneaked in a preview before the actual official Hollywood premiere on August 15,

1939.

A little theater in Dennis, Massachusetts, and then another theater in Kenosha, Wisconsin,

showed it on Friday the 11th, and Oconimo Walk, Wisconsin and a recene Wisconsin, showed

it on Saturday the 12th, were they supposed to?

I just don't know.

Suspicious, I'm sure the weekend sales were very tempting.

Nevertheless, some Midwesterners saw it almost a week before those in New York City,

which seems kind of appropriate somehow.
