I have always been bothered by the way that people feed their pets snakes. It's not because I'm squeamish. I can say that with certainty. That is not the case. But it is the injustice of putting a live animal in an enclosed space with the predator.

And no opportunity to escape. In the wild nature is cruel, but it is much more fair than being put into a situation where there is no hope of getting free.

That is one of the reasons today's episode really bothers me.

In 2017, Kim Wall was a 30-year-old Swedish freelance journalist who had volunteered to work in some of the most dangerous places in the world.

So when she got the call to interview an eccentric inventor on a submarine in Denmark, she did not hesitate.

Once the submarine was submerged off the coast of Denmark, Kim was never heard from again.

Kim Wall had been trapped in a cage with a violent psychopath. And like any animal trapped with a vicious predator, she didn't stand a chance.

Play it cool or stop and stare? Play it cool. But also, yes, stop and stare.

Now others have spotted this a-lister. They're staring too and some of them aren't playing it cool at all.

Being really, really famous, it's not easy.
