The first person I thought of when Notre Dame didn't make it to the college football playoff, Of course, was, well, I thought of your family.

Okay?

I thought of you and your entire family.

So how are you hanging in today, Mike?

I am exhausted.

You know what it is?

It's the cumulative body blows of the last month, really, of having your team, you know, your alma

mater, the team that you root for as a fan, like when I'm not doing the job, like having your

team be at the center of the discussion around anything is like having your team be in a very close game.

Like everyone else enjoys like when you watch a close game between two teams you don't care about,

it's exhilarating. It's the best. And when you watch a close game where your team is actually

in the balance, you feel like you're dying and also experiencing the greatest joy ever known

at the same time.

Right.

So it's been that for a month where like, I can't turn on a game broadcast, not even for

Notre Dame without hearing about the Notre Dame Miami debate.

And I can't, you know, look at clips online without hearing something about that.

And then it goes all the way through. And then I get the relief of like, all right, at least there's a decision made about this. I didn't love the decision, but I understood it. I always knew what was possible. I had in some ways prepared for it. And so I'm like, all right, now we're at least dumb. And then the bull opt-out decisions happens. And I got a whole new round of people lined it up in my instance to say some new shit. So it just never ends, man. You never ends. Or something. Oh, yeah. Taylor, why don't you tell Gojo what you want the new sign to be at Notre Dame Stadium when they walk out onto the field to play a football game.

So if you don't play in the Popsar Bowl, you can't have play like a champion.

The sign has to say opt out like a coward until you can't tell your next bowl game.
