She's a neuroscientist and a researcher on the extraordinary relationships between the brain and food.

My absolute pleasure. Can you start by giving us a little bit of background on yourself and how you

got into this work? Sure. My background is really that both of my parents are nuclear physicists, like both of them,

which is quite a thing.

Growing up their way was very interesting.

And my mom used to teach nuclear physics to students who then transferred to medicine,

and they wanted to work in nuclear medicine.

So I was immediately drawn toward that field, which is really code for brain imaging.
