But it was a class at the Delta Blues Museum Arts and Education program in Clarksdale

that taught him the basic fundamentals of the genre.

He cut his teeth as a young musician playing clubs like Brown Zero Blues Club

and Reds Lounge when he was still in high school, accompanied by a very protective mom.
