Today's story is a wonderful fantasy tale that features a wizard and a thief as our main

characters.

Now we all know that the secrets to Great Drama would be number one tension and number

two great characters and these are two for the ages.

Today's story is actually part one of a two-parter and it is written by Richard Parks, an American

writer and he's also a world fantasy and mythopoic award finalist.

It's a lighthearted tale but it has quite a few moments of tension and like all good short

fiction it ends in a very unexpected place.

We're going to follow these two men on their journey through a kingdom taking what ends

up to be a pretty unusual route.
