Quite often their eyes are so wide because they're like, oh my God, your money has to go in like a gazillion different ways. What the hell? Can you imagine being 20 years old? For some of us, we're 18 or 19, we go to university

and we're like, oh my God, this money is not going to stretch to all of these different bills that I've got. How are my parents doing it? And that's the point at which so many students have a breakdown or a meltdown and come back to their parents like, oh my God, please forgive me for being such a brat when I was growing up, I had no idea.

She is the author of Cash is Queen, a book that empowers teens and young adults to learn about finance.

I remember my dad trying to teach me about the stock market.

And I was just looking at him being like,

when is this conversation going to end? It was so awful and boring. And now as an adult and a mom

of three little girls, and even my son, obviously, really try to teach them and empower them
