We expect women to carry all of Islam on our shoulders every time we go outside.

Women who don't wear hijab are shamed, blamed, guilted, women who don't wear hijab in a particular way are told to take it off.

We have so much expectation on how women should dress and we dictate that. But we don't give any type of support and mentorship and creating spaces where women could feel like they even want to explore what that looks like.

Honestly, one of the most beautiful parts of the same being true is the fact that despite the toxicity and trauma women have faced, they're still Muslim.

Allah-u-A-war, if that doesn't show the strength of the faith of Muslim women,

because despite all of this, we're still clinging on to our faith.

And I want to clarify, obviously, this is not all misadjid, this is not all Muslim spaces.

There are so many Muslim organizations and messages that are actively creating women's faces.

At the same time, I hear from women,

hundreds of women. And this is not the norm for many, many, many communities.

If I had asked you to name three female companions of the prophet, Peace Be Upon Him, on the spot, would you be able to?

our prophets time, nor a shortage in female scholars in today's society. But why is it that I am

struggling with naming these powerful and admirable women? In today's episode, I sit down with

a master's degree in education, a bachelor's degree

in Islamic Studies, among some of her countless accomplishments, but she also holds a second
