| 0:54.0 | So in just a couple of days, we're going to be studying the book of acts. And this is an amazing time to study the book of acts because the church was really given a blueprint by the apostles to see exactly how they're supposed to behave in the culture. |

| 1:20.0 | I met Dr. Angela at an event that I was speaking at. Not that long ago. It's been well, I guess in light years now in Roni years has been 10 years, but it really wasn't that long ago. |

We're going to dive into so many things related to women and leadership. Angela, my friend, welcome to the show. |

| 2:04.0 | So give us a little bit of your history, because it might not be as, you know, I think people look and they say, oh, here's a woman with it with a doctor, you know, behind her name, but the fact of the matter is, you know, you didn't come, you know, nobody put a silver spoon in your mouth. And so you have a really interesting story and an interesting perspective. |

| 2:27.0 | Yeah, you know, I grew up extremely poor. I did not have, you know, the advantage of going to private schools or anything like that. My parents were working class people. |
| 2:41.0 | My parents had a very troubled relationship and divorced when I was very young. And so I witnessed a lot of really tough things very early in life. |
| 2:51.0 | And then out of that, or as the underpinning of that really was this support that I had from my grandmother, who was just a very strong influence in my life. |
| 3:05.0 | And even though I had no one in my family or in my sphere of influence, who was really educated or grew up in that world, I did have a doctor. |
| 3:18.0 | And that doctor inspired me from the time I was three years old to want to be a physician. |
| 3:25.0 | And so, you know, that had been my driving force and what really saw me through my educational experience. |
| 3:34.0 | And then you were in the Air Force, too, weren't you? I mean, you, the first woman in your family to enlist in the Air Force, which that is impressive all by itself. |
| 3:44.0 | And then you went on to earn your doctorate in clinical psychology. So, so one could say, you're not letting a grass ground your feet. |
