This is one of the most important shots in the film, I think.

It's just a powerful sense of

withfulness and longing as he's gazing out in the space.

And it's just, it's like great filmmaking.

Like, he just realized this is the turning point for his characters, you know, this is, and like Admiral

Piet is standing there waiting to be strangled and Darth Vader can't even bring himself

to hurt this guy. It's like, you know, his encounter with Luke has already begun to affect him and it's just so beautifully framed like the way he gives him out, the window, and he kind of does this half turn away and then comes back.

It's beautiful.
