Hey, Desirming listeners. So recently I've been posting some episodes on empathy. And since it's in my mind,

0:09.2

as I'm living my life, I will note the way in which people, including clinicians and psychology

0:17.7

students, are using the word. What definition are they operating from? And I came across

0:25.0

this Reddit thread that really exemplifies how many different usages there are and how people don't

So if I sound a little funny or if I have trouble talking sometimes, it's because of that.

1:20.6

So this was a post on Reddit and it was on the psychology students subreddit, which I will look at occasionally.

1:29.0

A lot of smart, interesting people on that subreddit psychology students.

1:33.9

And the person who originally posted this has deleted it, which I'll get into why I think

1:40.4

they deleted it.

1:41.0

I think it was because there was a backlash.

1:43.5

I can't know that, of course.

1:45.6

Also, before moving forward, I should say that I never know how to credit people on Reddit,
