Summary

Churches around the world are rebuilding in a post-pandemic world. Leaders are assembling new teams and desperately trying to fill vacant positions.

The temptation to cut corners in your hiring process (paid or volunteer) is ENORMOUS. When you feel the pressure to onboard a new worship leader or children's pastor in order to keep "the wheels on the bus", it's easy to make poor hiring decisions.

In today's podcast, I share 7 out of 13 principles that MUST be considered before your next hire. On the following podcast, I'll release part two of this series with the remaining principles.

1:07.1

But then over time, we realize, hmm, this isn't working out. And then we find ourselves thinking, how am I going to end this?

1:15.6

Then that's often a long process, often very messy.

1:19.6

Rarely is it not messy.

1:21.6

And then after all the fallout of that, we have to start the process all over again. The temptation to cut corners

1:29.6

is enormous. And now what's interesting is churches are in a process of rebuilding as churches

1:36.5

are now gathering again around the world to meet together on weekends. And so people are

1:41.7

desperately building new teams and staffs. And folks are very afraid of falling behind because I don't get a new

1:48.0

whatever, children's pastor or youth pastor or whatever or leader,

1:52.0

as soon as possible, families or people might start leaving the church.
