Today's topic was inspired by an email that I received recently.

Hi Spencer, I'd just like to say firstly that your show has been a life saver for me.

I came into Al-Anon in October and it has changed my life for the better. Your podcast has really helped.

Anyway, my question is emotional security. I recently detached from my relationship with my qualifier and because of that he detached with a meat cleaver.

There was a lot of emotional and verbal abuse in the relationship, but I always say, well, there

was nothing physical.

And so I completely invalidate myself and my own experience.

I just wondered if you could do a show on emotional safety.
