Summary

From Pete: With the loss of our brilliant, warm, loving friend Harris Wittels this past week we encourage everyone to go back and listen to some of his appearances on the show, in particular the Returns episode if only to help us understand the struggles of addiction and how to help those we love. As I'm guessing many of you have already done so, here is a new Emily Gordon returns episode, always my go-to as one of (if not the) favorite guests we've had, as a special 250th episode. Such a sad week but I hope you enjoy this fun silly gab. Thanks for all the online love, thanks for getting us to 250! You all mean so much to me, thank you.

0:21.0	What's happening, Weirdos? Most of you probably know this, but this was a very sad and heavy week
0:27.0	My friend and friend of the show and friend of the entire comedy scene, Harris Whittles passed away this week
0:36.0	Very, very sad, wonderful writer, wonderful stand up, wonderful actor and just a wonderful kind, honest, effortlessly funny, warm person that I am going to miss very, very much
0:49.0	Super, super sad, just so much shock and numbness and grief and just all the feelings, just such a loss
0:59.0	And I know we will all miss his performances and everything that he gave to us and all of us at Newham are going to miss him even more so
1:08.0	Because he was such a wonderful guy
1:10.0	I was going to re-release his episode but I think that's kind of unnecessary
1:14.0	His second episode in particular, people have noticed it's basically, it's an important lesson I think
1:21.0	I haven't re-listened to it since the news because it's just too heavy right now
1:27.0	But I do know that hopefully that can be helpful for anybody that might be struggling with addiction or know somebody that's struggling with addiction
1:35.0	Hopefully Harris's story can inspire people to get well and get help as trite as that might sound coming from me
1:44.0	I do mean that
1:46.0	So please check that out, he's been on the show three times I believe a live episode and two regular episodes
1:52.0	And like I said his second episode was the one where he really went into it and showed that unbelievable, hilarious and brutal honesty that I came to expect from him
2:03.0	And just one more time just such a sad, sad loss and I'm going to miss you Harris and I love you, man
2:11.0	It's 250 episodes too, it seems so silly at this point but this is the 250th episode
2:20.0	And it was obviously recorded before this news, we don't talk about it at all
2:25.0	It's Emily Gordon who I've said many times is always one of my go-to if not the favorite episodes that we did in the early run of the show under 50 I believe
