Hi bosses, Emily here to spill some insights into two things I couldn't

live without as the boss of my own business, community and

accountability.

Many years ago when I was a few years into my own creative business owner career,

I began to feel bogged down, tapped out, and really lonely in my business. The shiny fun of being my own boss and

living that creative business owner life was beginning to wear off, and I knew I needed a

jolt to get to my next levels.

I didn't realize it then, but this is something we all feel in our business,

not just once, but often cyclically.

It's a sign that it's time to look outside of ourselves for

new perspectives, fresh insights, and do some leveling up. When I first experienced this, I began

looking for Boss Friends, a group of creatives that I could connect with, share with, and just be a part of.

It felt simple enough, but I soon found that this search put me in places, shifted my mindset, and connected me with folks

that changed my life and business forever. In fact, one of the first big investments I made in my

business was in what I found on my search, a six-month mastermind group.

This group led me to gain so much insight into my business goals, career desires, and connected

me with people that I still to this day call my friends.

Even though I was out looking for community and I found it,

I also found a huge dose of accountability

because being shown your weaknesses and strengths and

goals and plans are only as good as how well you show up and do the work and a group of

bosses will definitely be there to keep you in check and help you along the way.
