February 3, 2013 was the last time 19-year-old Emily Hieber posted to Facebook. Prior to that date, she had frequent and consistent posts. By February 6, her phone was no longer in service. Six weeks later, on March 26, 2013, her grandfather reported Emily missing to the Yuma, Arizona Police Department after nearly two months of no contact. Emily has never been seen or heard from again. Detectives began investigating and what they uncovered was a tangled web of shady characters, shocking stories, and more questions than answers.

I'm confident that if the pressure stays on these people or if we can get someone to come forward, the family is good, great about keeping Emily's name in the public eye through the media and other means.

As it is right now, we continue to interview everyone that pops up in terms of a source. We have received literally hundreds of names that deal with leads.

A lot of these leads have turned out to be third and fourth hand information that someone has heard something from someone else about what Emily was supposed to be doing.

That being said, it's one thing to fear. It's another thing to go out and prove it. That's what we've been trying to do. I've been trying to pull information together that can somehow tie the information that we've been receiving together to narrow it down.
