Today on Dadville, we're joined by a guy whose voice and songs helped define a decade of all rock.

Emerson Hart, born in Washington, Pennsylvania, and raised in Jersey.

Emerson found his way into music early, and in 1993, co-founded the band Tonic with Jeff Russo.

The man's debut, Lemon Parade,

Bownin, Meeu, no, went multi-platinum, spent more than a year on the Billboard 200. It gave us the massive, massive hit, if you could only see. One of the most played rock songs of the 90s. Over the years, Tynic has sold millions of records, earned two Grammy Noms, and released a string of albums, Lemon Parade, Sugar, Head on Straight, and Tonic, which I have all of those records and listen to them still to this day. Plus the fan-funded Lemon Parade revisited, which was cool, all of that song, Acoustic, such a cool thing. And their most recent single, To Be Loved. Beyond the band, Emerson's carved out a great solo career from cigarettes and gasoline to beauty and disrepair 32,000 days in his latest EP, past conversations and future rooms.
