Summary

Michelle Baker and her husband John both fell in love with mountains before they fell in love with each other. As they started a family of their own, they hoped to pass down their passion for outdoor adventure and a respect for the dangers that go with it. While climbing the Grand Teton with their 12 year old son, a lightning storm soon had Michelle questioning whether she’d pushed too far.

Oh, it's a really big question. The biggest thing is we just do it. It turns out kids like being outside.

Kids like climbing trees, they like playing in the snow, they like doing all that. I just

realized that outdoors can be a lot of different things in the same day even. There's just times

where the kids just need to take their little matchbox cars and go around in the dirt instead of

trying to take them out on a bike or a mountain bike ride. There's days where it's like,

you just got to get hot chocolate at the lodge versus doing 10 laps on the ski hill.

I think it's just been a slow, steady progress to the point where it's like,
