Hello, everyone to a bonus episode of the Bidari Power podcast.

I am your host, Brad Rowland, going solo on a Monday afternoon because in typical Braves fashion,

the Braves waited until just a few hours after we recorded our most recent podcast.

In fact, if you missed it

somehow, I talked to my friend and regular co-host Scott Coleman on episode 429 on Sunday evening

covering a lot of different things from Kyle Wright to Aaron Bummer to the pitching market and all

of that. And basically all of that is still very relevant at this point. So I encourage you to listen

But as we kind of joked about at the end of that podcast,

the Braves have a penchant for announcing transactions on Monday mornings,

in particular in the month of November.

It's happened before, and it happened again today.

So just before lunch, on Monday, November 20th,

the Braves did what they often do again and basically made a notable sign that they announced on their own, which also happens with the Braves many more times than other franchises probably combined.

Other teams had their news reported.

The Braves announced it themselves.

It's one of the nice quirks of the Anthopolis era.

But I say all that, the Braves are bringing in veteran pitcher Reinaldo Lopez on a deal

that will keep him with the Braves through at least 2026 contractually and potentially

through 2027 with a pretty interesting contract structure that we'll talk about later on

in the podcast.

But perhaps the most interesting bit here is the role that Renolaa Lopez might be in when it comes to the upcoming season especially.
