As a program, I think, you know, I talked about it when I got here.

I want a team that can compete for championships on a consistent basis.

You know, and to do that, you're going to have to go compete for championships, you're

going to have to beat Alabama.

As everybody said, last year, what's the margin?

Last year, it was six points, this year, it was two.

You know, and hopefully we get one more shot at it.

Second time we've had to do this this season because a coach was just let go in the SEC.

No surprise at this point, but old Dan Mullin, given the yaks down there in Gainesville,

he will not coach against Florida State.

That means LSU and Florida now will be competing to hire a head coach at the same time.

News of Dan Mullin being let go was first reported by Matt Zinnett's of all three sports.

Chris Lowe, ESPN, he is also confirmed at Bruce Feldman, all the heavy hitters down there.

So team's supposed to meet here right as I'm recording this.

I think they're about to meet here in Gainesville to announce it to the players, Greg Knox, special

teams, coordinators, going to be the interim head coach for Florida State game.

And remember, this is a game the gators need to make the postseason.

They don't be Florida State.
