news broke around noon that Andrew Cuomo has a resigned the governorship of New York

effective in two weeks.

The governorship will be taken over by Kathy Hoechel former member of Congress.

And the governorship of New York is up for election next year.

It was thought that Cuomo would be running for the fourth term and he is clearly not

running for the fourth term.

Although you never know because stuff could happen the state the an impeachment by the

way could still happen if they wanted to rush it through.

And apparently the state senate is able to pass oddly a piece of legislation that would

not require his impeachment but could deny him further bites at state level office.

So in any case Andrew Cuomo is out and I rather than just gloat we should talk about

the larger meaning of this because my friend Julian Zellazar at Princeton who is a guy

alike but said you know this proves the Democrats you know unlike Republicans who are so tribal

Democrats will actually take the steps necessary to remove good Democrats from office when
