So two, well, one piece of news and one report broke within the span of about 15 minutes of one another.

And we're going to go through them both.

So, Josh Hart, 5 p.m. deadline today to either opt in to his $12.96 million player option,

off of which he can sign an extension of up to four years, or opt out and sign a brand new contract.

I could assure you it is not.

The reporting on this matter has been, I would say, fairly uniform in the sense that if Josh Hart opted in, again, by all reporting

that I've seen and if anybody has seen anything else, feel free to chime in.

His opting in would be a way to accommodate the NICS such that they can use their full,

um, non-taxpayer, mid-level exception of 12.4 million dollars.
