Did not agree to an extension.

Somewhat surprising, although I think as we'll touch on a bit, and I don't want to speak for

Jeremy, but I think in the last couple days, especially as the McDaniels number came out and it became, well, I don't want to,

I don't want to presume anything, but my assumption is that Emmanuel quickly does not sign

extension because he was looking for a pretty high number and the Knicks were not just not

willing to go there. But we'll get into all that. And more importantly, why the Knicks,

we're not willing to go to a certain place at the menu quickly. I have Jeremy Cohen here. He is not

here for that long. So I am going to let him open it up. And then I will, he has to get out of here.

Yes. So my, I am surprised. You know, I was hopeful based on a lot of what Ian Begley was saying

and other reporting that there would be a deal.

And there certainly wasn't.

And it's frustrating.

Of course, the issue here is the Knicks cannot extend Emmanuel quickly at any point in the season.

The deadline has passed.

The only time that they can resume conversations that are, you know, other than back and forth is this summer.

And I think the thing that frustrates me, more as the fan thinking of next moves, look, I mean,

it's not like, hey, this means quickly is as good as gone or anything of the sort.
