late morning on a Saturday here and Courtney Cronin kind of alluded to this on Friday

I can't remember if it was on our actual show or if we were just talking to her off

microphone but she said something that like I guarantee you on like Saturday night

The Vikings and Dalvin Cook are gonna come to some sort of an agreement right before the season starts.

It just makes too much sense that they've been talking for a long time and so Judd give us the details here of the breaking news Dalvin Cook and the Vikings reach a contract extension.

They do indeed and this is a combination from our buddies at NFL media, Tom Pelocero,

and Ian Rappaport reporting that Dalvin Cook has agreed to the day before the season starts, a five year, 63 million dollar deal with the Vikings, which is an average of 12.6 million per season.

And the interesting detail is 28 mill in guarantees which is very very good and then 15.5 million dollar signing bonus which according to what Tom is reporting is the largest

signing bonus the Vikings Phil Mackie have ever given to a nine quarter pack.

Wow. So this is rare air. This is this is not the contract I think we both thought if it got done that would get done.
