Knowing about Jesus is not the same thing as trusting him with your sin and with your death.

You can have the entire Bible memorized.

You can rattle off Bible passages at the drop of a hat.

You can amaze your friends by reciting the list of the books of the Bible backwards.

You can pull up a proverb or a Psalm about any problem.

You can cite a Bible verse for every scenario.

But if all of these biblical facts are not wound around the saving death and resurrection

of Jesus, none of it's going to make a whole lot of sense to you or do you much good.

For the wages of sin is debt, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

God's Grace, His mercy and His peace be multiplied among you my dear friends and fellow

While they were still talking about this,

what is this? Our gospel this evening takes us back into that locked room that we were in last Sunday evening.

in this locked room ever since Easter.
