It's three tiers for Boris Johnson.

Hip hip hip.

Uh, no.

Hip hip, hip.

No.

Hip hip.

Nobody seems to be terribly excited about these three tears for Boris.

I'll tell you what.

Actually, let's forget that.

Today's the day that the Prime Minister of Great Britain will disregard local councillors, business leaders, mayors,

and even the medical advice that introducing harsher and harsher lockdown measures will not only create

massive hardship for individuals and firms, but that it will actually shatter the economy.

After convening a Cobra meeting this morning, Boris Johnson will address the House of Commons

with his new three-tier traffic-like system for large swathes of the north of England.

But of course, it's not just three tiers, is it?

It's three tiers with several wrinkles, some exceptions, and a lot of different imposition.

Manchester's mayor, Andy Burnham, has warned that jobs will be lost, business will collapse,

and the fragile economies of the north will be shattered. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a great supporter of Andy Burnham's.

I'm not suddenly banging the Labour drum here. I'm not suddenly saying Andy Burnham's got it

right and Boris Johnson hasn't been about as much use as a chocolate fire guard either.
